The funny thing is, they are saying we dont have the money for it, but we can have the money if we didnt have P.O.R.K projects(uneccessary community projects like building museums and such, about 50 bill in the hole for that) saying we are putting unneccesary money into it...when we have already burned about 500 bill in Afghanistan and Iraq

I think that we can safely blame the failure of reaction to the hurricane atleast on bush, but sadly, the republicans did not summon a hurricane.

I never made a statement anywhere were I was judging this disaster on gas prices. I merely stated that gas prices was one of the visible results of this disaster on EVERYONE in the country. I know there are many, MANY more, but this is where a lot of people base reality on. Things that DIRECTLY affect them on everyday life. I can't count the number of times I heared: "Well if you build a city below sea level....", or "They seen the hurricane coming....". But when they go to fill thier tank, and it cost them 10$ extra, they finally realize what this disaster has cost EVERYONE. A lot of people have the mindset "Well i'm glad it isn't me."
